About the role

The Governors of Ysgol Bro Teifi are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to work in the school kitchen. The successful candidate will work as part of a highly successful catering team that provides high-quality food for pupils and staff. The successful candidate will: - Carry out food catering duties, including the preparation of drinks, vegetables and other food items. - Undertake general duties, including washing equipment and crockery, and cleaning all areas and surrounding spaces. - Serve meals, and set up and clear tables as required. - Occasionally, when the Supervisor/Cook is absent, undertake basic food preparation and cooking tasks under supervision. - Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other school staff, pupils and members of the public to promote a positive school environment. - Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or be willing to work towards obtaining one). The ability to work through the medium of Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post.
