Catering Team Member

About the role

We are recruiting for a number of Catering Team Members to join our Catering Team in our Amesbury Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for the delivery of professional service at all times, as well as food preparation and presentation, cash handling and ensuring food safety compliance. The ideal candidates will have experience within a fast paced catering or hospitality environment and feel passionate about providing customers with a great dining experience. You will be welcoming and approachable with excellent communication skills, acting as an ambassador for the function. Package £13.00 per hour 18 hours per week working any 3 days out of 5 including weekends on a rotational basis Must be available to work between the hours of 7am - 8pm Employee Benefits Full-time employees receive 28 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to 33 days after 5 years of service. Contributable company pension scheme 10% store discount at all our retail stores Death in Service Benefit Long service recognition scheme MyHB colleague benefits platform with access to: Discounts UK wide on retail, leisure, hospitality venues Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential counselling and advice line Low-cost voluntary insured health cash plans and cancer cover Job Overview Maintain a professional customer and staff relationship Ensure the delivery of a professional service at all times Responsibility for cash handling, stock control and stock taking Ensure kitchen and customer areas are clean at all times Be responsible for the preparation and presentation of all food to the required standards Ensure compliance with all company administration and monitoring procedures: Recording of food temperatures Delivery records Recording of fridge and freezer temperatures Food storage and labelling in accordance with guidelines Daily administration of bookwork including Food Safety Diaries and allergen management including Natasha’s law Minimum Criteria To Apply Minimum Level 2 Hygiene certificate and Level 2 Food Safety certificate Knowledge of food production methods Experience in a fast paced catering or hospitality environment Ability to organize and prioritise daily work load Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to problem solve and remain calm within a fast paced environment About The Company TJ Morris Limited trading as Home Bargains is a privately owned family run discount retailer selling top brands at the lowest possible price on the UK high street.
