Job Vacancy – Specialist Curry Chef Company: HERBS AND SPICES STIRLING LIMITED Trading As: Indian Cottage Position: Specialist Curry Chef Location: Stirling, Scotland Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 39 Hours Per Week Salary: Competitive (Depending on Experience) About the Role Indian Cottage is seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist Curry Chef to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining consistency, quality, and traditional cooking standards expected by our customers. Main Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of authentic Indian curry dishes to a consistently high standard. Prepare traditional base gravies, sauces, spice blends, marinades, and speciality curry preparations. Cook a range of regional Indian dishes including masala, korma, jalfrezi, madras, vindaloo, balti, bhuna, and chef’s signature dishes. Ensure consistency of flavour, portion control, presentation, and overall food quality. Prepare ingredients daily and manage mise en place for smooth kitchen service operations. Monitor stock levels of spices, herbs, meats, vegetables, and kitchen supplies. Maintain strict food hygiene and health & safety standards in accordance with company procedures. Support menu development and assist in training junior kitchen staff where required. Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and timing standards.
