Cook/Chef

About the role

The Old Rectory, a 24 bed luxury residential care home in Stalbridge, Dorset, is currently looking to recruiting a part-time Cook/Chef to join their team. ​ Your main responsibilities will include preparing, cooking and serving delicious, nutritious, healthy hot and cold food, to meet the dietary requirements of our residents. You will get to know our lovely residents and enjoy providing them with wholesome meals and home made cakes and bakes.​ The successful candidate should have at least one years previous experience as a cook in a similar environment and catering for specialist diets, providing meals for large groups of people, alongside a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Ideally, you will also hold a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking or equivalent but this is not essential. You’ll be confident in engaging with our residents to understand their individual needs and enjoy being part of the wider team in the home.​ To apply for this role you must be a team player, with excellent communication skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
