Mizaans of Scotter is a well-established and busy Indian restaurant and takeaway based in Scotter, North Lincolnshire. We are looking for an experienced Tandoori Chef to join our kitchen team and play a key role in preparing authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine for our customers. As Tandoori Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation, marination, and cooking of a range of meat, seafood, and vegetable dishes using traditional tandoor oven techniques. You will work closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure dishes are prepared fresh to order, maintaining the high standards our customers expect, while upholding food hygiene and safety practices at all times. This is a hands-on, skilled role suited to someone with genuine expertise in Indian cuisine and tandoor cookery, who takes pride in producing authentic, flavourful food. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, marinate, and cook meat, seafood, and vegetable dishes using traditional Indian spices, techniques, and recipes • Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, managing temperatures and cooking times to produce consistently high-quality dishes • Prepare fresh marinades, sauces, and accompaniments daily • Plan and prepare ingredients ahead of service to ensure smooth kitchen operations • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness in line with food safety regulations • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering of ingredients as required • Work collaboratively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service • Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal dishes where appropriate
