Chef de Partie Contract: Government Location: London, E14 4PU Hours of work: 40 Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join a busy open plan kitchen, working within a team of 7 chefs and 3 kitchen porters. You will play a key role in maintaining food quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards across retail, hospitality, and events. Job Description You will support food preparation and service delivery across a diverse offer, including street food, deli, breakfast, grab & go, coffee shop bakery, and high-end hospitality such as canapés, fine dining, and tasting menus, ensuring all outputs meet agreed specifications and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and deliver food in line with company recipes, standards, and portion control guidelines Maintain food safety, allergen management, and health & safety compliance at all times Support hospitality and event catering, including canapés, bowl food, and plated service Operate flexibly across kitchen sections and assist with front-of-house service when required Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures within designated areas Monitor food production, presentation, and wastage using company systems and processes Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and COSHH compliance across all kitchen areas Support the Sous Chef and supervise sections or smaller operations when required Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Experience as a Chef de Partie in a high-volume environment CIEH Level 2 (minimum) Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and portion control Excellent communication and teamwork skills Customer-focused with the ability to deliver high-quality service Flexible approach to working across different kitchen areas Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
