Are you an experienced Sous Chef looking for a standout role with brilliant work-life balance? Premier Selection is recruiting a Sous Chef for a popular, award-winning dining pub in Oakham, Rutland — a kitchen with serious food credentials, a Head Chef with 2 and 3 rosette experience, and ambitions to push for a Bib Gourmand. This is a genuinely exciting Sous Chef opportunity. As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely alongside the Head Chef, helping to run a busy, high-quality kitchen that produces clever, flavour-focused dishes from all-fresh seasonal produce — including fantastic fish and game when in season. You’ll help organise daily prep, lead the team through service, and play a key role in maintaining the exceptional food standards this pub is celebrated for. The food here is brilliantly executed without being over-complicated — and that takes real skill. We’re looking for a Sous Chef who is friendly, talented and ideally experienced at rosette standard. You’ll be well-organised, a great communicator, and someone who genuinely enjoys building and leading a kitchen team. Candidates based near Oakham, Uppingham, Corby, Stamford, Melton Mowbray, Grantham or Peterborough with their own transport are ideally placed.
