Breakfast Chef Derby Midland Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western The Opportunity We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and play a key role in creating a positive start to our guests’ day. As our Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard, ensuring food is presented attractively and served with care. Your work will help guests feel nourished, relaxed and ready for the day ahead. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a range of breakfast dishes, including eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, pastries and other breakfast items Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard, with care and attention to detail Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, equipment and workstations Support the ordering and management of kitchen supplies and stock levels Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support a smooth and efficient service Keep work areas clean, organised and well maintained Assist with the training and support of junior kitchen team members when required Benefits Our enviable employee discounts on bedroom rates across our Best Western hotel portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who: Has experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar kitchen role Enjoys early shifts and the routine of breakfast service Takes pride in producing well‑cooked, well‑presented food consistently Works calmly and efficiently in a structured kitchen environment Understands the importance of hygiene, cleanliness and organisation Enjoys being part of a supportive team and contributing to a smooth service Finds satisfaction in knowing their work helps guests start their day well If you are someone who values quality, routine and teamwork, and enjoys creating food that makes a positive difference to guests’ experiences, this Breakfast Chef role could be a great fit.
