As a Chef de Partie with Sodexo at Wellington College , you’ll play an important role in delivering exceptional food experiences for students, staff, and guests. Working alongside the Executive Head Chef and Senior Sous Chefs , you’ll support the daily food production, contribute to menu development, and help maintain the highest standards of quality, presentation, and service. What You’ll Do: Assist with the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality food to agreed standards Ensure all dishes are prepared with care and attention, including catering for special dietary requirements and allergens Support smooth service periods by ensuring food is replenished and presented to a high standard Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness in line with company and statutory requirements Assist with catering for functions, events, and special occasions Work collaboratively with the Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver an outstanding catering service Contribute ideas and suggestions to future menus and food development Support stock management, ordering processes, and kitchen administration when required Build positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and school stakeholders Report any compliments, complaints, incidents, or areas for improvement appropriately What You Bring: Essential: Experience working in a Chef de Partie or similar role within a professional catering environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high standards Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations Experience preparing fresh food and working with a variety of ingredients Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates Desirable: Experience within an education, hospitality, or high-volume catering environment Experience supporting or developing other team members Knowledge and experience of pastry Experience managing customer or client relationships What We Offer: A supportive and professional culinary environment at a prestigious independent school Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for career progression and development Full training and protective uniform provided Access to Sodexo’s wellbeing support and Employee Assistance Programme Discounts, cashback schemes, and financial wellbeing benefits Learning opportunities and apprenticeships Cycle to Work Scheme and volunteering opportunities At Sodexo , we believe everyone deserves a place to belong .
