Are you a motivated individual with experience in cooking, working in a kitchen and enthusiasm to create inspiring menus? We are looking to recruit a motivated and talented individual to the Chef de Partie role based within the hospitality team on the main University of Plymouth campus. About the role: You will be based within our Hospitality Service, where you will: • Be responsible for producing high quality bakes, cakes and food for hospitality events including external events and conferencing as well as fine dining. • Also support the Head Chef with menu design and food concepts. • Create and produce inspiring menus in line with modern food trends and seasonal produce. • Be responsible for your unit’s Gross Profit margin and overall quality of food. • Meet required deadlines. • Adhere to the company’s set standards, and ensure a great customer experience. • Work with the front of house teams and develop excellent relationships between the kitchen and front of house areas to deliver consistently high levels of service and customer satisfaction. We seek to use local, fresh, seasonal and sustainable produce in all of our dishes and you must have a passion and drive to produce menus in line with modern food trends. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, for 52 weeks a year on a permanent basis. Due to the nature of the role, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate working from home. We’re currently unable to sponsor this role under the Skilled Worker visa route.
