Chef Abbeyfield The Dales Abbeyfield The Dales is a not-for-profit care charity with one mission: Making Time for Older People. We provide a supportive, family-feel working environment guided by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Openness. We are looking for a caring and reliable Chef to join our team. Hours: 2 shifts over 7 days 8am to 6pm (alternate weekends) Key Duties: Prepare and cook daily lunch and teatime meals. Assist with menu planning and kitchen rota management. Ensure adequate stock levels and assist with ordering from approved suppliers. Support catering for social and special functions as required. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with Environmental Health Regulations, including SFBB records and cleaning schedules. Monitor food storage, temperatures, and handling procedures. Maintain kitchen equipment, cutlery, and crockery, reporting any faults or repairs needed.
