Kebab Chef (Middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Kebab Chef to join our team in a new venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving a range of kebab dishes and takeaway meals to a high standard while maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety practices. The role will include preparing and marinating meats, operating the kebab grill and cooking equipment, slicing doner meat, grilling chicken and other items, preparing fresh salads, sauces, wraps, and sides, and ensuring orders are completed quickly and accurately during busy service periods. The Kebab Chef will also be expected to keep the kitchen and workstations clean and organised, monitor stock levels, assist with deliveries, follow portion control guidelines, and work as part of a team to provide customers with fresh, high-quality food and efficient service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a kebab shop, takeaway, or fast-paced kitchen environment, with good knowledge of food hygiene, safe food handling, and kitchen cleanliness. They should be dependable, able to work evenings and weekends, and comfortable working under pressure during busy periods.
