We're looking for a passionate and organised Head Chef to lead our kitchen and provide nutritious, home-cooked meals that our residents look forward to every day. About the Role As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals Leading the day-to-day running of the kitchen Managing food ordering, stock control and budgets Ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met Maintaining excellent food hygiene and Health & Safety standards Supervising and supporting kitchen staff Creating seasonal menus with residents' needs in mind Maintaining accurate kitchen records and documentation We're Looking For Someone Who: ✔ Has previous experience as a Chef or Head Chef ✔ Enjoys leading and motivating a team ✔ Is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work ✔ Has a good understanding of food hygiene and nutrition ✔ Can manage a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards ✔ Can commit to the advertised shift pattern Experience within a care home or healthcare setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
