School Chef / School Cook (Term Time Only) Location: Near Southam, Warwickshire Salary: £23,868–£25,434 per year Contract: Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover) | September 2026 – July 2027 Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm (Term Time Only) Start Date: September 2026 (earlier start available for the successful candidate) School Chef Job – Warwickshire Luma Education Recruitment is working with a welcoming specialist primary school in the Warwickshire countryside to recruit a caring, organised and enthusiastic School Chef / School Cook for a maternity cover contract. This is a rewarding opportunity to prepare healthy, nutritious meals that make a real difference to children's wellbeing. You'll be joining a supportive team in a small specialist school where every member of staff plays an important role in helping pupils thrive. The Role As the School Chef, you will: Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious breakfasts, lunches, snacks and drinks Cater for pupils with a range of dietary, cultural and medical requirements Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety Manage food ordering, stock levels and budgets efficiently Support school events and occasional special functions Ensure all food preparation complies with health, safety and safeguarding procedures Work closely with the wider school team to provide an excellent dining experience for pupils Why Apply?
