We are looking for an organised, passionate, and experienced Banqueting Sous Chef to support the delivery of exceptional food across our busy meetings, conferences, weddings, and events operation. Working alongside the Executive Head Chef and Head Banqueting Chef, you will play a key role in leading the banqueting kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys producing outstanding food for both intimate gatherings and large-scale events. Key Responsibilities -Support the day-to-day management of the banqueting kitchen. -Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Banqueting Chef. -Prepare and deliver high-quality food for weddings, conferences, private functions, and hotel events. -Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control. -Supervise, train, and motivate junior chefs and kitchen assistants. -Assist with menu planning and the development of seasonal banqueting menus. -Manage food preparation to meet event timings and service schedules. -Monitor stock levels, ordering, and food storage procedures. -Help control food costs, minimise waste, and maximise kitchen efficiency. -Ensure compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, and health and safety standards. -Work collaboratively with the Events, Conference, and Front of House teams to deliver seamless guest experiences. -Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
