Cook Required – Redruth Area, Cornwall My client, a well-established and highly regarded School Academy Trust in Cornwall, is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to join the catering team at a busy school in the Redruth area . This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a successful and supportive Academy Trust that is committed to providing high-quality, nutritious meals for pupils and staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that students receive healthy, freshly prepared food in a safe and welcoming dining environment. Position Details Location: Redruth Area, Cornwall ‍ Role: Cook ⏰ Hours: 26 hours per week Monday to Friday Working Hours: 8:30am – 2:00pm Salary £26,041 – £26,876 per annum (pro rata) Key Responsibilities • Preparing and cooking nutritious meals to a high standard • Assisting with menu planning and food ordering • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards • Managing stock control and reducing food waste • Supporting the wider kitchen team in daily operations • Ensuring compliance with all school catering policies and procedures The Ideal Candidate ✅ Previous experience in a catering, school, care, hospitality or commercial kitchen environment ✅ Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety practices ✅ Organised, reliable and able to work independently ✅ Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy school setting ✅ Passionate about providing high-quality food and service Additional Information Term-time working pattern Opportunity to join a successful and expanding Academy Trust Supportive working environment with ongoing development opportunities The position will be subject to a successful Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to be considered, please send your CV in the first instance .
