In this independent, lone-working role, you'll prepare and servenutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff in an Approved Premises,helping to create a safe and welcoming environment. You'll take ownership ofall aspects of food preparation while playing an important role in supporting aservice that helps individuals successfully transition back into the community.This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills to make a meaningfuldifference. What you'll do: Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff, following planned menus. Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, managing your workload independently and ensuring meals are prepared and served on time. Maintain exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness across the kitchen and dining areas. Monitor and replenish kitchen stock, ensuring ingredients, equipment, and cleaning supplies are always available. Build positive working relationships with on-site colleagues, communicating effectively to ensure the smooth running of the service. Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene procedures, working confidently and responsibly in a lone-working environment. What you bring: Previous experience in a professional cooking or catering role is essential, with a good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures. Confident working independently, with the ability to manage your time, prioritise tasks, and keep the kitchen running smoothly. Strong communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional approach. Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive, with the confidence to work effectively in a lone-working environment. A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to build good working relationships while following procedures and site requirements.
