Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated STC Mobile Chef to join our team at Redford Barracks. This role involves supporting Stand-Alone Short-Term Camps (STC) by delivering high-quality catering operations across multiple remote sites across Scotland. The successful candidate will take the lead in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, compliance with food safety standards, and excellent service delivery to cadet training units. Key Responsibilities - Operate and manage catering services for stand-alone short-term camps STC. - Lead a small kitchen or agency team on-site, ensuring efficient and safe operations. - Load and unload stores, ensuring correct handling and storage of supplies. - Liaise effectively with cadet training units and STC management teams. - Maintain full compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations. - Ensure correct attention to allergens and dietary requirements within the camp. - Complete all relevant kitchen documentation accurately and in a timely manner. - Maintain the site and equipment in a clean, organised, and safe condition. - Ensure correct stock rotation and control, minimising waste. - Respond effectively to unforeseen issues or last-minute requests. - Demonstrate flexibility to work across multiple locations and variable hours as required. Essential Skills and Qualifications - Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent). - Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A flexible approach to working hours, locations, and duties. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt under pressure. - Sound knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and allergen management. - Full UK driving licence (essential). - Security clearance and Basic Scotland Disclosure required, or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
