Care Home Cook – Norwich | £15–£17 per hour | Flexible Opportunities We are currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Norwich who is looking for an experienced Cook to support their care home kitchen on a flexible basis. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing wholesome, nutritious meals and understands the importance of food in enhancing residents’ wellbeing and daily routine. About the Role: You will be responsible for delivering high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation. This is a varied role where you’ll be trusted to manage the kitchen effectively during your shifts. Duties will include: • Cooking fresh, balanced meals for residents in line with care standards • Adapting menus to suit dietary requirements, including modified textures and allergens • Managing stock, storage, and kitchen organisation • Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment Candidate Requirements: • Proven experience working as a cook, preferably in a care or similar setting • Good understanding of nutrition and special dietary needs • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above preferred) • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) What’s Available: • Hourly rate of £15–£17, dependent on experience • Flexible shifts to suit your schedule • Ongoing opportunities within a reputable care setting • Dedicated support from our recruitment team This is a rewarding opportunity to use your cooking skills in a role where your work has a direct and positive impact on others.
