About the role

ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking a reliable, organized, and creative Freelance Private Cook and Dietary Assistant. This part-time role is for 12 hours per week, split across 3 days (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM). The rate of pay is £15.00 per hour. The goal of this role is to take the day-to-day stress out of food by managing my meal planning, handling shopping logistics, and preparing small, frequent, fresh meals. I follow a fresh, high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet, and because I prefer to eat small portions throughout the day, I am looking for a cook who finds it easy to come up with a variety of interesting, appealing meal ideas. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Dietary Meal Planning: Collaborating with me to plan a variety of appealing, small, and frequent meals that fit high-protein and low-carb guidelines. Bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table to keep the weekly menu varied and enjoyable. Shopping and Logistics: Coordinating weekly grocery orders, ensuring the correct fresh ingredients are delivered to the house or picking them up from local shops. Unpacking shopping and organizing the kitchen clearly. Cooking and Meal Preparation: Preparing a fresh, nutritious meal for me to enjoy during each visit. Batch-prepping small, individual portions of proteins and healthy snacks for the days in between, ensuring items are safely portioned and stored in the fridge or freezer. Thoroughly clearing down the kitchen, loading the dishwasher/washing up, and leaving the food preparation area spotless before leaving.
