About the role
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable KP / Kitchen Assistant to join our busy hot food takeaway/ cafe kitchen team. The successful candidate will support the kitchen with food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and general daily kitchen duties. The role includes preparing the salad bar, cooking food to order such as burgers, pasta, and roast chicken, and working confidently on the grill and cooker. You will also be expected to help with food preparation tasks, keep work areas clean and organised, and support the kitchen team during busy service periods. This is a hands-on role, so the right candidate should be physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg sacks of potatoes, clean and prepare them, and complete cleaning duties at the end of the day to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next service.
