About the business

Penny For Pound are a busy bakery cafe, operating out of our custom built HQ in Moorabbin. We produce a high-quality product, baked fresh daily and delivered to various cafes around Melbourne 365 days a year. We create a wide range of flakey pastries, cakes, cookies & sourdough bread for our local community, and welcome them to our open production kitchen and cafe space.

We are a friendly, tight knit team, who take pride in what we do. We are currently hiring for multiple roles in preparation for our peak season and to account for continued business growth. Roles include experience, qualified pastry chefs, entry level roles and keen casuals looking to grow and learn within a professional kitchen environment.

About the roles

• Full time positions - Certificate III in Patisserie + Experience in high volume kitchen environment or similar highly regarded.
• Part Time and Casual Positions - some kitchen experience, a positive 'can-do' attitude and a desire to learn will be highly regarded.
• Immediate start available
• This role would suit someone keen to further improve skills and experience.
• Variety of Jobs and general kitchen duties such as: Shaping pastries, rolling croissants, laminating dough, prooving and baking assorted pastries, preparing fillings and garnishes, working within a team to full-fill production requirements
• Variety of shift times available - Early mornings start times - have your afternoons and evenings free! or Afternoon/Evening Work available to suit the night owls.
