The Role

As a Casual Chef with AVC, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals
• Working across various kitchen sections as required
• Food preparation and mise en place
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and wider hospitality team
• Assisting during busy service periods and functions when required

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
• Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Is reliable, punctual and well presented
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Takes pride in cleanliness, food safety and quality
• Has flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends
• Holds Australian working rights

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience is highly regarded.
