About the Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team at the Toormina Hotel, located in the beautiful Coffs Coast region.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment, takes pride in delivering quality food and wants to be part of a supportive and professional team.

While this position is initially based at Toormina Hotel, there may also be future opportunities across our other venues in Sawtell and Moonee Beach as our teams continue to develop.

About the Role

Working alongside our kitchen leadership team, you'll be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality meals while contributing to the smooth daily operation of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to established standards.
• Working efficiently across kitchen sections during busy lunch and dinner services.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Assisting with daily preparation, menu specials and function catering.
• Supporting stock control, portion management and waste reduction.
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Contributing to a positive, professional and productive kitchen environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong cooking skills and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience as a Chef in a busy pub, hotel, restaurant or similar environment.
• Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Excellent teamwork, communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.
