Chef De Partie | Good Nature Hotel

Good Nature Hotel is looking for a Casual Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team.

Recently transformed and reopened in the heart of Federation Square, Good Nature is a fresh take on the city pub, with a large beer garden, modern pub dining, live sport, events and a menu featuring seasonal dishes, share plates, premium grills and pub classics.

With the venue positioned right in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD and close to Flinders Street Station, the MCG and major event precincts, there’s plenty happening around the venue and lots of opportunity to be part of a busy kitchen team.

The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll take ownership of your section and help deliver quality food across busy lunch, dinner, event and game-day services.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking menu items to recipe and venue standards
• Taking ownership of your designated section
• Maintaining food quality, consistency and presentation
• Working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef during service
• Supporting junior kitchen team members
• Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
• Keeping your section clean, organised and well stocked
• Working efficiently during busy service periods

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Experienced as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef ready for the next step
• Reliable and organised
• Calm and focused under pressure
• Team-focused with a positive attitude
• Passionate about producing quality food
• Confident working in a busy kitchen environment
• Available to work nights and weekends
• Committed to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
