About the business

Penny For Pound are a busy bakery cafe, operating out of our custom built HQ in Moorabbin. We produce a high-quality product, baked fresh daily and delivered to various cafes around Melbourne 365 days a year. We create a wide range of sourdough bread, flakey pastries, cakes and cookies for our local community, and welcome them to our open production kitchen and cafe space.

We are a friendly, tight knit team, who take pride in what we do. We are currently hiring for an experienced pastry chef and a dedicated student looking to grow and learn with us.

About the role

• Full time positions - Certificate III in Patisserie + Experience in high volume kitchen environment or similar highly regarded.
• Immediate start available
• This role would suit someone keen to further improve skills and experience.
• Variety of Jobs and general kitchen duties such as: Shaping pastries, rolling croissants, laminating dough, prooving and baking assorted pastries, preparing fillings and garnishes, working within a team to full-fill production requirements
• Early mornings start times - have your afternoons and evenings free!
