Within the Pastry team, every dessert, pastry, and baked creation reflects the highest standards of quality and presentation. As a Commis - Bakery, you will report to the Sous Chef and work alongside talented culinary professionals who are passionate about delivering memorable experiences through outstanding pastry offerings. YOUR ROLE As a Commis - Bakery, you will support the preparation and production of high-quality pastry items, ensuring recipes, presentation standards, and food safety requirements are consistently met. You will play an important role in maintaining an organized, hygienic, and efficient kitchen environment while developing your pastry skills and contributing to the overall success of the culinary operation. HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE * Prepare mise en place and pastry items according to established recipes and quality standards * Support daily pastry operations while ensuring readiness for service periods * Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in line with local regulations and hotel requirements * Follow stock rotation procedures and ensure proper storage of ingredients and prepared items * Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and preparation areas * Contribute to a safe and efficient kitchen environment through teamwork and attention to detail COULD THIS BE YOU? * You have experience working in a pastry kitchen within a hotel, restaurant, bakery, or similar culinary environment * You are passionate about pastry, baking, and creating high-quality products * You have a strong understanding of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices * You are organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high culinary standards * You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team * You communicate effectively in English and are eager to learn and develop your culinary skills OUR BENEFITS As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work.
