The Novotel Wolverhampton is a modern 132 room hotel in the city centre, just a short walk from Wolverhampton train centre and excellent road links via the M6 and M54. As Sous Chef, you will report to the Head Chef, ensuring seamless kitchen operations, integrating with the front of house team to ensure smooth service. Deputise in the absence of the Head Chef. Straight shifts with flexilbilty to cover the business needs. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure that every dish in prepared and executed to the highest standards. • Food ordering to ensure full menu availability and minimum wastage • Daily due diligence with HACCP procedures • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to exceed our external audits • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high food standards. Level 2 or 3 Food Safety • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a busy kitchen environment, ideally hotel based • Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality. • Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide a small kitchen team You must be eligible and be able to prove your eligibility to work within the UK Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
