Hotel services include 24-hour reception, guest laundry, cafe, restaurant, all-day dining, small meeting room, a large outdoor area and free open-air parking. Mercure Sydney Blacktown is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Full Time Commis Chef  to join our team of inspired hospitality professionals. You will be working mainly the breakfast shift, preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and food prep for our all-day dining menu and Distrikt Cafe.  What you will be doing: Full ownership and operation of the kitchen including breakfast service whilst on shift. Ensure the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained. Preparing, cooking and serving breakfast for the hotel buffet Preparing food for Distrikt Cafe and our all-day dining menu Assisting with group dinners as required Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of ingredients. Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and all dishes are washed at the end of each shift Assisting the General Manager with food orders and stock management Overseeing kitchen attendant as required      Trade qualifications  Preferably be experienced in buffet breakfast service/lunch service Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests Have great communication skills & a positive attitude Have excellent planning and organisational skills Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests   What’s in it for you An opportunity to Work Your Way, Learn Your Way and experience Benefits Your Way at Accor Ability to really contribute and feel pride in knowing you have made a difference to the greater good of the Hotel Operation Work alongside passionate industry professionals Western Sydney location with free onsite parking
