Pay Rate: $22.70/hr Job Duties Include: Supports in preparation and baking of all bakery items for menu and catered events Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met Understand and work by Baker’s Percentages Knowledge of mixing techniques for sponges, breads, mousses, etc. Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard Assumes responsibility for the basic operations of his/her station for short periods when required in the absence of the Chef De Partie or Demi – CDP Previous baking experience in high volume production Knowledge of mixing techniques for various yeast breads and quick breads Experience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards an asset Red Seal Certificate (Journeyman’s papers) or Recognized International Equivalent considered an asset Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts.
