Learn and develop practical cookery skills under the guidance of experienced chefs across a variety of kitchen sections. Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping and portioning, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen, adhering to all food safety, HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements. Assist with receiving, storing and rotating stock to minimise waste and maintain product freshness. Support the kitchen team during service by ensuring food is prepared and presented efficiently and to a high standard. Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly while following all workplace procedures and instructions. Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to completing a recognised commercial cookery apprenticeship while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Skills & Experience:  A genuine passion for food, cooking and developing a career in the hospitality industry. Enrolled in, or willing to undertake, a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent apprenticeship qualification). Strong work ethic with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions and accept feedback.
