Searcys are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at the IOD. We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to assist the Kitchen Team in the day to day running of the Kitchen. As a Searcys Kitchen Porter you will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen staff by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen areas, as well as assisting with basic food preparation. 116 Pall Mall is a stunning Georgian venue dating back to 1820 in the heart of London. Originally de-signed by John Nash, the architect behind Marble Arch and Brighton Pavilion. This venue benefits from traditional meeting rooms to glamourous chandelier filled ballrooms. Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment. Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and ensure food safety standards are followed. Assist with waste management and recycling. Support chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables and cutting ingredients. Organise and store kitchen supplies, ensuring they are readily available for use. Help with unloading deliveries and storing items appropriately. Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Ability to work as part of a team. Good communication skills.
