About the role

Bella Ridge Golf Club is seeking a skilled and dynamic Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. This role will prepare and present high-quality food and beverage items for daily guests, tournaments, and special events. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to maintaining quality standards along with a professional appearance and positive attitude. Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour BOE Essential Duties: Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Assist with presenting menus, answering questions, and making recommendations for food and beverages to all guests. Take accurate food and beverage orders, deliver items promptly, and transact sales in the POS system. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, storage areas, and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards. Assist in developing daily specials and menu updates based on seasonal ingredients, demand, and guest preferences. Monitor food quality, consistency, and freshness to ensure optimal guest satisfaction. Support banquet and tournament food and beverage service operations as needed. Receive and properly store deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory rotation and minimal waste. Collaborate with additional staff members to ensure smooth and timely service to all guests. Assist with opening, closing, side work duties, and other tasks as assigned. Follow established guidelines for both front of the house and back of the house duties functions. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); A minimum of six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, club, or catering environment preferred. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak hours and events. Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Culinary training or certification a plus but not required. Food Handler’s Permit and Alcohol Server Certification required. Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job. Physical Demands: Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells. Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds. Environment/Noise: Regularly works in extreme heat or extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical equipment, and work in varying outdoor climates. Noise level is moderate.
