POSITION: Concession Stand Cook DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Food & Beverage FLSA STATUS: Part-time / Non-Exempt VENUE(S): The Oncenter PAY RATE: $16.83/hour HOURS: Schedule dependent on event needs; 0-29 hours a week Legends Global is the premier partner to the world's greatest live events, venues, and brands. THE ROLE As a Concession Stand Cook at The Oncenter, you will be responsible for working in the kitchen and/or in concessions preparing food items for the facility . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare hot and cold food to order as per standardized recipes. Provide highest quality service to guests and co-workers at all times. Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinates the use of time, material, and equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expense. Assist with opening and closing inventory counts. Set station up prior to opening to ensure a state of readiness based on historical par levels to ensure adequate supply during service. Store and properly handle raw and cooked foods and non-food supplies. Follow temperature danger zone guidelines to ensure food safety. Maintain a sanitizer bucket at proper dilution at all times. Ensure all products are properly wrapped, labeled, and dated. Practice FIFO, (First in, first out), for all products to ensure proper rotation. Operate equipment, (knives, grill, flat top, fryer, etc.), according to use and safety instructions. Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously. Distribute food to concession cashier/attendant to serve to customers. Request inventory refills as needed on a timely basis to ensure adequate supply is always available for guest requests. Keep work area clean, organized, and sanitary. Clean and organizes workstation at end of shift to ensure safety guidelines are maintained and the stand is ready for the next shift. Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with New York State laws and regulations as well as Company policies, practices, and procedures. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED. 6+ months experience in a Food & Beverage environment preferred. ServeSafe & TIPS certification a plus. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to work and maintain standards in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and attitude are essential. Ability to make professional, independent, and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures. Must be able to be on time for your shift and maintain reliable attendance. Must take direction well and work well individually and as a team. Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to walk/stand/sit for long periods of time. Must have the physical ability to maneuver around the venue, at times walking and/or standing for 8-10 hours or greater, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+, and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting. Ability to exert well-paced mobility to move quickly to the different areas of the facility as demands require. Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
