We are looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Chef to join the kitchen team at the Port Broughton Hotel.

The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, you will support food preparation and service in a busy pub environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals to a consistently high standard;
• Supporting lunch, dinner, functions and busy service periods;
• Following recipes, portion control and presentation standards;
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen;
• Assisting with stock rotation, preparation lists and minimising food waste;
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams; and
• Bringing a positive, practical and hands-on approach to every shift.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a pub, restaurant or fast-paced kitchen;
• A passion for quality food and great hospitality;
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills;
• The ability to remain calm and focused during busy service;
• Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene;
• Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including nights and weekends; and
• A reliable work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
