Job description
Duties may include: Prepare, season and cook dishes such as meats, soups, desserts, salads, starters, ect. Cooks will be expected to use standard commercial cooking, cleaning and other equipment to prep, store, plate, and garnish dishes according to recipes and presentation standards. Cooks will adhere to all food safety and storage regulations, and local and state health codes; and will be expected to clean, store, and maintain dishes, cooking implements, equipment, pots and pans, and all areas of the kitchen as directed by management & other related Cook activities as per SOC/OES 35-2014 (onetonline.org). Multiple possible shifts: 6:00AM-2:00PM or 2:00PM-10:00PM. Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:00PM or 2:00PM-10:00PM. Offering 35+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Employees can be expected to work various shifts, which may include opening shift, day shift, and closing shift. Work week is Thursday through Wednesday. Weekly schedule may vary based on business needs including weekend and/or holidays as required. Shifts include times outlined above as well as closing shift from 4PM- 12 AM. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed). Biltmore’s work week is Thursday – Wednesday; overtime is calculated based on this payroll period. Wage may vary depending on shift differential.

- Must be 18 due to state labor laws. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Hours may fluctuate based on tourism peaks and valleys throughout the season (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime. Background checks are required.
